- Vinyasa Yoga -

Integrating Core-Strength and Alignment into a Flowing Practice

Learn to enjoy the full experience of ‘Vinyasa’ (which means ‘postures linked by the Dahlia Steinberg - Certified Vinyasa Yoga Instructorbreath’). Based on her ongoing training in Pilates as well as Advanced Teacher Training in Anusara Yoga, Dahlia gives you the tools to move safely and confidently throughout class. Starting with gentle opening exercises aimed to ease tension and stabilize core muscles you will progress towards a flowing practice that will help you breath more deeply and increase strength and flexibility while you reconnect to the relationship between body, mind and spirit!

Dahlia brings both a sense of play and practicality to every class while respecting the unique challenges and abilities of each individual. Ending poses will be sequenced together by theme based on such common problem areas as the hips, low-back, neck and shoulders. Classes will move at a pace that is suitable for those who attend that day.

- Suitable for All Levels -

Dahlia brings over fifteen years of teaching experience to the group classes, private sessions and workshops that she offers in the Parkdale, Roncesvalles & Liberty Village areas and her home-based, private studio. Her earlier studies in Tibetan Buddhist Meditation coupled with extensive experience in modern dance training and performance naturally lead her into yoga teaching as well as ongoing studies in physical training and the healing arts. Dahlia was certified in Vinyasa Yoga at Yogaspace (2005) and is also a graduate of the School of Toronto Dance Theatre (1998).

Through her eclectic background in movement including Anusara Yoga and Pilates, Dahlia continues to create classes, which are based on an in-depth understanding of body mechanics and a philosophy that encourages students to move from the inside out, towards a joyful, heartfelt experience of yoga practice.
